Nakagawa Farm

Nakagawa Farm is a strawberry orchard located in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture, and opened in 2015. The farm grows about 10,000 strawberry plants in three plastic greenhouses and uses a small-quantity soil cultivation system and high cultivation developed by Shiga Prefecture. Thanks to this system, large and sweet strawberries are grown here. The strawberry picking experience is all-you-can-eat for 40 minutes, and advance reservations are required. It is held on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, and is available on weekdays only when there is a group reservation of 10 or more people. The main variety grown is Akihime, but Yotsubo is also grown. When picking strawberries, there are a few rules: be careful not to damage the strawberry plants, do not leave any leftovers, and only eat in the garden. As a measure against the new coronavirus, the farm has installed partation screens, limited the number of visitors, temperature checks, and alcohol disinfection to provide a safe and enjoyable strawberry picking experience. Please note that website and group reservations are given priority for reservations, and cancellation fees may apply, especially for groups.
