Ajikama" is a pillow word that refers to the Shiotsu area. The word is derived from the ducks that winter on the shores of Lake Biwa. In addition to being an information center, Ajikama offers a wide variety of seafood, duck meat, fresh local produce, and specialty products from Lake Biwa.
