The second temple in Goushu Ika is a historic temple whose principal image is said to have been created by Dengyo Daishi. The temple holds a special festival every year on February 8-9. Traditionally, this festival has been held to pray for the fertility of children, with the newlyweds serving as pagodas. This temple is therefore revered as the Kannon (Goddess of Mercy) for childbirth and the Kannon (Goddess of Mercy for Childbirth) for child safety.
