The castle ruins park of the former Nagahama Castle is known for its cherry blossoms and sunsets. There is a bronze statue of Hideyoshi at the site of the former castle, and the entire area has been developed into a Japanese-style garden, tennis courts, swimming pool, and playground. There is also a stone pillar of Taikoh's well in the lake.
