Oyadama Honten

It was founded in the Tempo era and opened in Funamachi. With the development of culture and transportation, the shop moved to Uoyamachi during the Meiji period (1868-1912) and has continued to this day. The store is located 10 minutes from the station, one street north of the Kitakuni Kaido Kurokabe Glass Museum. Along with the development of Shukumachi Street, we sold many seasonal confections, which were very popular as souvenirs to Kyoto, Osaka, and Kobe along with the booming Hama-chirimen (chirimen) market. We are still supported by the local people, and we continue to be a favorite of the local people. Oyadama-manju" is a flavorful manju made with local sake and carefully selected Hokkaido azuki beans and homemade red bean paste to preserve its unique and delicious flavor. Oyadama-manju has been loved by the local people since the Tempo era (1868-1912), and its taste and flavor have earned it the much-appreciated phrase "Oyadama-no-Manjyu" (the origin of the name Oyadama-manju). The "Hokkoku Kaido" is a flavor of a smoke, named after the roads along the northern part of Japan in the olden days. Gyuhi is filled with sweet bean paste and combined with seeds. Dechi Yokan" is a simple confectionery brought back from the hometown as a souvenir when going to Keihanshin (Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe) to serve in the public service.
