Nagahama's first kimono rental store for tourists called "Yui Yui" reopened on January 6, 2023 at a new location just a 3-minute walk from JR Nagahama Station. The store is located just 8 seconds away from Kurokabe Square, allowing visitors to enjoy the historic Nagahama area in kimono. Reservations can be made via the web or by phone, and while same-day visits are welcome, advance reservations are recommended. The store is located on the second floor of Ekimachi Terrace Nagahama, and after getting dressed, visitors can take a walk around Nagahama and Lake Biwa area. Kimonos must be returned by 10:00 p.m., the closing time, and you must contact the store if you will be late.
